Youth Co-Ordinator
Are you passionate about supporting the next generation? Sutton Vineyard is seeking a Youth Co-Ordinator to assist in the smooth running of our Youth ministry. This role is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the church that is committed to making a lasting impact in Sutton and the lives of our young people.
The Youth Co-Ordinator will play a key role in supporting the practical and pastoral aspects of the youth ministry. The role is not a pastoral leadership position but a coordination and support role to ensure the smooth day to day running of our youth ministry.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Pastor with oversight of Youth to implement and manage the logistics of the Youth ministry programmes.
Assist key youth leaders ensuing they are equipped and encouraged.
Organise teams and arrange necessary resources for youth ministry programmes.
Help deliver elements of ministry across the youth programme as required.
Experience and Skills
The successful applicant with have a heart for young people, a desire to serve and strong administration and team coordination skills.
Essential
High standard of written and verbal communication.
Good level of IT skills
Self-motivated and highly organised.
Ability to multitask and effectively prioritise workload.
Demonstrate high levels of trust and integrity
Desirable
Previous involvement in Youth ministry or Church administration.
Familiar with working in volunteer led environment.
Some experience in pastoral care or working with young people
Position: Youth Co-Ordinator
Reporting to: Pastor with oversight of the Youth.
Hours: 16 hours per week. 0.4 FTE
Hours to be split across Monday – Friday. Working days and hours will be considered for the right candidate. Evening and weekend flexibility is desired. Initial 1 year contract
Salary: £10,941.20 per annum plus pension. FTE £27,353
Principle Workplace: Stayton House, 93 Stayton Road, Sutton Surrey, SM1 2PS
Start Date: After Easter
Please note there is a genuine occupational requirement that the role holder is a committed Christian in full sympathy with aims and the ethos of the Church’s purpose and vision. You will be required to worship regularly at Sutton Vineyard.
